The Mini Figure 8 GYTC8S optical cable features a 250μm optical fiber sheathed in a loose tube made of high modulus material, filled with waterproof compound. A plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL) layer is longitudinally wrapped around the cable core, with a polyethylene sheath extruded together with the steel strand to form the distinctive "8" shape cross-section.
