GYXTW53 armored fiber optical cable uses 250μm fibers positioned in a high modulus plastic loose tube. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant compound. A steel wire (sometimes PE-sheathed for high fiber count cables) serves as the central strength member. Tubes and fillers are stranded around this member to form a compact, circular cable core.
The cable features a PSP layer around the core for water protection, covered by a thin PE inner sheath. A longitudinally applied PSP and PE outer sheath complete the durable construction.
