What is a drop wire used for?

The main function of a drop wire is to facilitate the final leg of the connection, bridging the gap between the main distribution network and the end user. There are several types of drop wires commonly used in the industry, each designed to meet specific requirements based on the environment and application.

Drop cables are the critical connection between a service provider's distribution network and the end user's home or business.

Product Description:
With metal strength member, flame-retardant LSZH jacket and special Low-bend-sensitivity fiber, suitable for direct aerial installation into the houses in FTTH projects.

Self-supporting FTTH drop cable is constructed with one or two single-mode fiber (G.657A ). The cable is protected by two parallel strength members made of metal, steel wire and a LSZH outer jacket. Designed for outdoor installation, the cable is well suited for connections between the dome closure and small dwelling unit/warehouse and independent villas.
